on giving birth and beyond …
- my labor was, unfortunately, not a experience i’ll look back at fondly [ended up with cesarean] but doctors and nurses at the hospital were wonderful and took such good care of us
- since i was recovering from a very rough labor my husband had no choice but to step up and take care of the baby … words cannot explain what an amazing father he already is
- we were kept at the hospital an extra day because baby had jaundice and my little french fry had to spend more time under the lights
- so almost a week later we were all able to come home as a family and that’s were the fun began …
- nothing in life can ever prepare someone for the all day/night feeding schedule add in c section recovery + postpartum hormones = one overwhelmed mama [the urge to burst into tears was constant]
- but every day it gets a little easier, like ‘i can do this’!! thank goodness my mom came for a few days, we would hand the baby over to her in the morning and get a couple of hours of sleep …
- the baby has been so good [praying this doesn’t change], he has made it so much easier for us…such a lovely little man, we are incredibly blessedÂ
- my husband is flying to colorado for work tomorrow [wha? really? howamigonnasurvive?] … but my mom will be here again to help out [phew & phew]
cannot wait to get back into the groove of things [return emails, write thank you notes, work out, find out what’s been happening “out there”] …
lastly, thanks to you out there in tumblr for your sweet notes!
